Clostridial vaccine to prevent Tetanus, Blackleg, Malignant edema, Black disease, Red Water, Gas-gangrene, and Enterotoxemia in cattle
This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy cattle against disease caused by Clostridium chauvoei, C. septicum, C. haemolyticum, C. novyi, C. sordellii, C. tetani, and C. perfringens Types C & D. This product was licensed prior to the requirement to establish a minimum age for use. Duration of immunity has not been established.
Although C. perfringens Type B is not a significant problem in North America, immunity is derived from a combination of the Type C (beta) and Type D (epsilon) fractions.
Mix gently. Inject 2 mL subcutaneously followed by a 2 mL dose in 3 weeks. Calves vaccinated at 3-6 months of age should be given a 3rd vaccination with either this vaccine, or another vaccine containing C. perfringens Type D epsilon toxoid.
