Our Double Net Straw Erosion Control Blankets are 8' x 112.5' (W x L). These Erosion Control Blankets are designed with thick interior fibers made of 100% agricultural cured wheat straw and photodegradable polypropylene plastic exterior netting that provide greatly increased stability to the blanket. Each blanket is manufactured to ensure a consistent thickness and distribution of fibers. This allows for excellent flexibility, moisture absorption and the ability to conform to the soil.

These Double Net Straw Erosion Control Blankets are recommended for use on slopes in the 2:1 range and in medium flow channels with a functional longevity anywhere from 12 months, depending on moisture, light, environmental conditions and based on whether vegetation is intended to replace or work in conjunction with the blankets. They are used primarily to slow water runoff, provide effective sediment and erosion control, and enhance re-vegetation. In addition, these double net straw blankets help to promote germination of newly planted seeds by protecting seeds from erosion, while helping to minimize weed growth.

These blankets are commonly applied to channel and ditch linings, slopes, culvert inlets and outfalls, riverbanks, and levees.
