50 chain is manufactured in accordance with ANSI B29.1 standards and is the 5th largest size in the B29.1 lineup of roller chain sizes. 50 roller chain has a 5/8" pitch and is one of the most widely used roller chain sizes. The primary purpose of a transmission roller chain is to transfer energy from the dive to the highest degree of efficiency. Our 50 roller chain sets its self up for doing this successfully with having specific features such as solid rollers, heat-treated components, and factory pre-loading which greatly reduces chain stretch over time. This chain is a riveted style, meaning that the side-plates are dual riveted onto the pins which creates a high holding power and prevents chain failure from side-stressing or sideloading from misalignments. More specifically, this roller chain is manufactured for general industrial and agricultural applications.
